Diary (/ˈdaɪəri/, with -ia-) is a book for daily records. Dairy (/ˈdeəri/, with -ai-) is a place where milk is kept or made into butter and cheese, or a shop selling milk products: 'a dairy farm', 'dairy products'. The two are one of the commonest spelling confusions in exams.
