§Grammar and usage

When an interrogative sentence is changed into indirect speech, it takes the word order of a statement and loses its question mark, so 'Where do you live?' becomes 'He asked me where I lived' (not 'where did I live').

जब interrogative sentence को indirect speech में बदलते हैं, तो उसका word order statement जैसा हो जाता है और question mark हट जाता है, इसलिए 'Where do you live?' बदलकर 'He asked me where I lived' होता है ('where did I live' नहीं)।
