§Grammar and usage

Nowhere has a negative meaning, so it is not used with 'not' ('I went nowhere', not 'I didn't go nowhere', which is a double negative); inversion after nowhere at the start of a sentence ('Nowhere have I seen such beauty').

यह बहुत पूछा जाता है: nowhere का अर्थ नकारात्मक है, इसलिए यह 'not' के साथ प्रयुक्त नहीं होता ('I went nowhere', 'I didn't go nowhere' नहीं, जो दोहरा नकार है); वाक्य के आरंभ में nowhere के बाद inversion ('Nowhere have I seen such beauty')।

“Collocations, idioms and sayings

Get nowhere (make no progress: 'The talks got nowhere'), out of nowhere or from nowhere (suddenly and unexpectedly), the middle of nowhere (a place far from towns), nowhere near (not at all: 'nowhere near finished'), nowhere to be seen or found (impossible to find).

Idioms: get nowhere (कोई प्रगति न होना: 'The talks got nowhere'), out of nowhere या from nowhere (अचानक और अप्रत्याशित रूप से), the middle of nowhere (शहरों से बहुत दूर की जगह, वीराना), nowhere near (बिलकुल नहीं: 'nowhere near finished'), nowhere to be seen या found (मिलना असंभव)।
