§Grammar and usage

Traditional British grammar uses shall with I and we for simple future ('I shall go'), and will with other persons; to show determination or a promise, this is reversed ('You shall pay for this!'; 'I will go, whatever happens'); in modern English, will is common with all persons; shall is used for offers and suggestions ('Shall I help you?'; 'Shall we start?'); the question tag after 'Let's' is 'shall we?'; in legal documents, shall means 'must' ('The tenant shall pay rent monthly').

यह बहुत पूछा जाता है: पारंपरिक British grammar में साधारण भविष्य के लिए I और we के साथ shall ('I shall go'), और अन्य पुरुषों के साथ will प्रयुक्त होता है; दृढ़ता या वादा दिखाने के लिए यह उलट जाता है ('You shall pay for this!'; 'I will go, whatever happens'); आधुनिक English में सभी पुरुषों के साथ will आम है; प्रस्तावों और सुझावों के लिए shall ('Shall I help you?'; 'Shall we start?'); 'Let's' के बाद question tag 'shall we?' है; कानूनी दस्तावेज़ों में shall का अर्थ 'must' है ('The tenant shall pay rent monthly')।
