temporal, temporary and temporary's cousins

Temporal means connected with time or with the worldly as opposed to the spiritual; temporary means lasting a short time. Both come from the Latin tempus, time, as do contemporary, tempo and temporize. 'A temporal clause' is a time clause; 'a temporary clause' would be one later removed.

Temporal का अर्थ 'समय से' या 'आध्यात्मिक के विपरीत सांसारिक' है; temporary का अर्थ 'थोड़े समय तक चलने वाला' है। दोनों Latin tempus, समय, से बने हैं, जैसे contemporary, tempo और temporize। 'A temporal clause' समय का clause है; 'a temporary clause' वह जिसे बाद में हटा दिया जाए।

The temporal/temporary pair is a sentence-improvement item.

Temporal और temporary की जोड़ी sentence improvement में पूछी जाती है।

§Grammar and usage

A temporal clause (adverb clause of time); the temporal lobe in biology.

Temporal clause (समय का adverb clause); जीव-विज्ञान में temporal lobe।
