?Which word?
allegation or accusation?
An allegation is a claim that somebody has done wrong, made without proof and often not yet tested: 'allegations of fraud'. An accusation is a direct charge, which may be formal: 'He was arrested on an accusation of theft.' Alleged means claimed but not proved: 'the alleged thief'.
Accusation सीधा आरोप है, जो औपचारिक भी हो सकता है, जैसे 'He was arrested on an accusation of theft'।
§Grammar and usage
Note: an allegation is made against somebody; the newspapers say 'alleged' to avoid libel.
