deny + -ing / deny that + clause
Deny takes an -ing form or a that-clause to say something is not true. It cannot take a to-infinitive.

You deny a statement or an accusation. You refuse an offer or a request, or refuse to do something. Deny is followed by -ing, refuse by the to-infinitive.
