✓ She is taller than her sister.

Do not use more with an adjective that already has -er.

जिस विशेषण में पहले से '-er' लगा हो, उसके साथ 'more' नहीं लगता।

✗ This book is more better than that one.

✓ This book is better than that one.

Better is already a comparative form, so more cannot be added.

§Grammar and usage

More is used for the comparative of long adjectives ('more beautiful', 'more important'), but short adjectives add -er ('taller', not 'more tall'); avoid double comparatives ('more better' and 'more taller' are wrong); the more X, the more Y ('The more you practise, the better you get'); more than (followed by a number or noun: 'more than ten'); no more (no longer: 'He is no more' means he has died).

यह बहुत पूछा जाता है: लंबे adjectives के comparative के लिए more प्रयुक्त होता है ('more beautiful', 'more important'), पर छोटे adjectives में -er लगता है ('taller', 'more tall' नहीं); दोहरे comparatives से बचें ('more better' और 'more taller' गलत हैं); the more ..., the more ... ('The more you practise, the better you get', जितना अधिक अभ्यास, उतना बेहतर); more than (संख्या या noun के बाद: 'more than ten'); no more (अब नहीं: 'He is no more' का अर्थ उनका देहांत हो गया)।
