§Grammar and usage

'neither ... nor' (not 'neither ... or'); the verb agrees with the nearer subject ('Neither the teacher nor the students were late'); nor at the start of a clause needs inversion ('I don't like it, nor do I want it'; not 'nor I want it').

यह बहुत पूछा जाता है: 'neither ... nor' ('neither ... or' नहीं); verb निकट वाले subject से मेल खाता है ('Neither the teacher nor the students were late'); उपवाक्य के आरंभ में nor के बाद inversion चाहिए ('I don't like it, nor do I want it'; 'nor I want it' नहीं)।
