§Grammar and usage

The reason for sth ('the reason for his absence', not 'reason of'); the reason why or the reason that; tautology trap: 'the reason is because' is wrong (say 'the reason is that': 'The reason is that he was ill'); 'the reason why' is acceptable but often 'the reason' alone is enough.

यह बहुत पूछा जाता है: the reason for sth ('the reason for his absence', 'reason of' नहीं); the reason why या the reason that; tautology trap: 'the reason is because' गलत है ('the reason is that' कहें: 'The reason is that he was ill'); 'the reason why' स्वीकार्य है पर प्रायः केवल 'the reason' काफ़ी है।

The adjective reasonable means fair and sensible, or not too expensive ('a reasonable price').

Adjective reasonable का अर्थ उचित और समझदार, या बहुत महँगा नहीं है ('a reasonable price')।
