?Which word?
take an exam or give an exam?
In English, the student takes (or sits) an exam. The teacher or the board gives or sets it. So Hindi 'परीक्षा देना' is 'to take an exam'.
English में परीक्षा देने वाला student 'take an exam' करता है, जबकि teacher या board 'give/set an exam' करते हैं। इसलिए 'मैंने परीक्षा दी' का सही अनुवाद 'I took the exam' है।
