§Grammar and usage

That as a relative pronoun is used for people and things in defining clauses ('the man that came'; 'the pen that I lost'), but not after a comma (non-defining clauses use which or who: 'My pen, which is blue, is lost'); that is preferred after superlatives, all, everything, nothing and only ('the best film that I have seen'; 'all that glitters'); that is never used after a preposition ('the house in which I live', not 'in that').

यह बहुत पूछा जाता है: relative pronoun के रूप में that, defining clauses में लोगों और चीज़ों दोनों के लिए प्रयुक्त होता है ('the man that came'; 'the pen that I lost'), पर comma के बाद नहीं (non-defining clauses में which या who: 'My pen, which is blue, is lost'); superlatives, all, everything, nothing और only के बाद that बेहतर है ('the best film that I have seen'; 'all that glitters'); preposition के बाद that कभी नहीं आता ('the house in which I live', 'in that' नहीं)।

Conjunction: 'so that' shows purpose ('Study so that you can pass').

Conjunction में 'so that' उद्देश्य दिखाता है ('Study so that you can pass')।
