§Grammar and usage

Grammar trap, asked often: in English, answer negative questions according to the fact (to 'Didn't you go', the reply 'Yes, I did' means I went; 'No, I didn't' means I did not go), which is different from Hindi.

Grammar trap अक्सर पूछा जाता है: English में नकारात्मक प्रश्नों का उत्तर तथ्य के अनुसार दें ('Didn't you go?' 'Yes, I did' अर्थात मैं गया; 'No, I didn't' अर्थात मैं नहीं गया), जो हिंदी से भिन्न है।

Keep the formal forms: 'Yes, sir' and 'Certainly' (polite agreement).

औपचारिक रूप याद रखिए: 'Yes, sir' और 'Certainly' (शिष्ट सहमति)।
