§Grammar and usage

He is the subject form; him is the object form ('He saw her'; 'She saw him'); he takes a singular verb ('He goes', not 'He go'); in formal English, 'taller than he is' is preferred to 'taller than him'.

अक्सर पूछा जाता है: he subject रूप है; him object रूप ('He saw her'; 'She saw him'); he singular verb लेता है ('He goes', 'He go' नहीं); औपचारिक English में 'taller than him' से 'taller than he is' बेहतर है।

Usage: modern English often uses 'he or she' or 'they' when the gender is not known ('Every student must bring their ID').

प्रयोग में लिंग ज्ञात न हो तो आधुनिक English प्रायः 'he or she' या 'they' प्रयोग करती है ('Every student must bring their ID')।
