make + noun (light verb)

Active voice में 'make' के बाद infinitive में 'to' नहीं आता; 'to' केवल passive में लौटता है।

✗ He did a mistake in the exam.

✓ He made a mistake in the exam.

Mistake always goes with make, not do; this is a common collocation error in SSC papers.
