?Which word?

scared, afraid and frightened

All three mean feeling fear. Afraid is never used before a noun: 'an afraid child' is wrong; say 'a frightened child' or 'a scared child'. Scared is more informal than afraid and frightened. The thing that causes fear is scary or frightening.

तीनों का अर्थ 'डर महसूस करना' है। Afraid कभी noun से पहले नहीं आता: 'an afraid child' गलत है; 'a frightened child' या 'a scared child' कहिए। Scared, afraid और frightened से अधिक अनौपचारिक है। डराने वाली चीज़ scary या frightening होती है।

§Grammar and usage

'scared of sth' और 'scared to do sth' आता है।
