§Grammar and usage

Since is used for a point in time ('since 2010', 'since Monday', 'since morning'), and for for a period of time ('for five years', 'for two hours'); since is used with the perfect tenses ('I have been studying since morning', not 'I am studying since morning'); 'It is two years since we met' (since + simple past after a time phrase); ever since (continuously from then).

यह बहुत पूछा जाता है: since समय के बिंदु के लिए ('since 2010', 'since Monday', 'since morning'), और for अवधि के लिए ('for five years', 'for two hours') प्रयुक्त होता है; since perfect tenses के साथ प्रयुक्त होता है ('I have been studying since morning', 'I am studying since morning' नहीं); 'It is two years since we met' (समय-वाक्यांश के बाद since + simple past); ever since (तब से लगातार)।

Keep the reason conjunctions: since (because, at the start of a sentence), as, because, for (formal), seeing that.

कारण के conjunctions याद रखिए: since (क्योंकि, वाक्य के आरंभ में), as, because, for (औपचारिक), seeing that।
