AaSpelling

wan·der

?Which word?

wander or wonder?

Wander (/ˈwɒndə/, with a) means to walk about aimlessly: 'wander through the market'. Wonder (/ˈwʌndə/, with o) means to ask yourself, or a feeling of amazement: 'I wonder why', 'the wonders of the world'. The two are confused in spelling because the vowels sound similar in Indian speech; a wandering mind wonders about many things.

Wander (/ˈwɒndə/, a के साथ) का अर्थ 'बेमकसद घूमना' है: 'wander through the market'। Wonder (/ˈwʌndə/, o के साथ) का अर्थ 'सोचना, आश्चर्य करना', या 'विस्मय का भाव' है: 'I wonder why', 'the wonders of the world'। भारतीय उच्चारण में स्वर मिलते-जुलते होने से spelling में भ्रम होता है; wandering मन कई बातों पर wonder करता है।
