?Which word?

cheap or inexpensive?

Both mean low in price, but cheap can also suggest poor quality or meanness, so in a positive sense inexpensive or reasonable is safer: 'an inexpensive but good hotel'. Cheap is a stative adjective; prices are low, not cheap, in formal English ('low prices', but 'cheap goods').

दोनों का अर्थ 'कम दाम का' है, पर cheap में 'घटिया' या 'ओछा' का भाव भी आ सकता है, इसलिए अच्छे अर्थ में inexpensive या reasonable सुरक्षित है, जैसे 'an inexpensive but good hotel'। Formal English में prices low होते हैं, cheap नहीं ('low prices', पर 'cheap goods')।

§Grammar and usage

'the price is cheap' is loose; say 'the price is low' or 'the goods are cheap'.

'the price is cheap' ढीला प्रयोग है; 'the price is low' या 'the goods are cheap' कहिए।
