?Which word?
protest against or protest something?
British English says protest against or about something: 'protest against the law'. American English uses protest with a direct object: 'protest the law'. Both appear in Indian papers; in formal British style keep against. 'Protest one's innocence' (insist on it) always takes a direct object.
British English में 'protest against' या 'about something' आता है, जैसे 'protest against the law'।
